Description
The BAFAV is an automatic flood barrier designed to deploy without human intervention, thanks to an innovative technology that uses rising water levels to activate the device. Unlike traditional manually-operated or removable systems, which are often ineffective in emergencies, the BAFAV guarantees immediate, reliable and autonomous protection.
The BAFAV barrier basin can be manufactured in S235 steel with RAL 9005 thermal spraying, stainless steel or concrete, depending on site requirements. Its patented design is highly adaptable: elements can be up to 8 meters long, with modular installation facilitated by connecting flanges.
The reinforced structure comprises a PUR foam core, a fiberglass shell and composite profiles. It can withstand vertical loads of up to 400 kN (class D400), making it ideal for high-traffic areas. Installation requires a 15-20 cm concrete foundation, and can be adapted to new or existing buildings.
Easy to test, the BAFAV fills with water to check that it is working properly, then empties, allowing you to monitor the rise and fall of the floating wall.
This system provides enhanced watertightness and optimum safety in areas at risk of flooding, while remaining unobtrusive when not in use.
